August 6, 2021

8.6.21

This Sunday’s Bible Story: Noah and the Flood. The story of Noah and the Flood teaches us incredible lessons. Mainly we learn that God is serious in his judgment over sin and God is serious about his grace toward sinners. Take time to read through the story in Genesis chapters 6-9. Join us as we review and learn from this important Old Testament story. We worship at 10:00 AM at the Phi Delta Kappa Banquet Hall located at 11311 Phi Delt Way, Odessa, 33556.

On Sunday morning you can worship with us on Facebook Live starting at 10 AM.

Building Update from Schaefer Company: The building site has been cleared and grubbed. The retention pond has been rough dug and excavated.  The fill dirt for the building pad has been delivered and compacted.  The rebar submittal has been approved and rebar for the foundation has been ordered. Shop drawing for the trusses have been received and submitted for review. In addition, the revised foundation plans are in review with Pasco County and the Right of Way permit for utilities has been applied for as well.

Furnishing Peace for the Future: The altar, the pulpit, the baptismal font. These are the places at the center of our worship life where God proclaims and assures to us his peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding. This Sunday you will receive more information about Furnishing Peace for the Future, a funding appeal for church furnishings. I hope you will give time to reading more about our goal and motivation for considering a special gift to Furnishing Peace for the Future.

Women of Peace Meeting: “LOVE RULES” – a WOMEN OF PEACE BIBLE STUDY                                                                                                                August 10  | 7:00 PM
What do the Ten Commandments do for you? Do they send you on a guilt trip? Are they a mirror of your frailties? Or do they hold life-changing love? The miracle of the Commandments is that even after thousands of years, they still hold everything we need to live in relationship with God and with one another. In this women’s Bible study, you will see yourself and how pride, insecurity, grudges, and coveting damage relationships. Each narrative also shows exactly why we still need Jesus and His perfect, Commandment-keeping love.

All Ladies of Peace are invited to an online Bible Study on Tuesday, August 10 at 7:00 PM.
