Our Summer Sermon Series is Tell Me a Story – Learning from Lesser-Known Old Testament Bible Stories. This Sunday we review an interesting story about an Israelite judge named Gideon. We learn about God’s grace to his people during the time of Gideon. Join us for worship this Sunday at 10 AM. We meet at the Phi Delta Kappa hall in Odessa while our new church home is being built.

Continues Wednesday, June 29
Cross Connections is a small group Bible Study opportunity. It is a time to connect with fellow Christians and stay connected with Christ through study of his Word. Choose a location where you’d like to participate on Wednesday, June 29. Bible Studies will take place at both locations on June 29. PEOPLE CLOSE TO GOD NEW MEMBER CLASS – TUESDAY, JUNE 21 | 6:30PM

Your friend, your relative, your neighbor has questions about God and faith. Invite them to find answers in our class called People Close to God, our new member class.

People Close to God is open to members and nonmembers. Invite a friend or neighbor or relative. It is a place where all participants can ask questions about the Bible, what our church teaches, and you can brush up on the basics of the Christian faith. You will learn how to apply the Bible for you and your children. Pastor Schwartz will provide all the materials, just bring your questions!

We are starting a new class next week. Invite a friend and commit to going with them to class. The first class is Tuesday evening, June 21, 6:30 to 7:30 pm, in-person, at the Longleaf Office. The offices are located at 3030 Starkey Blvd (Suite 227) Trinity, FL 34655.

The Spirit is the constant companion of believers in these Last Days. This raises an important question. If God now reveals himself by his Spirit, where is the Holy Spirit found? God has not left the answer to that question in doubt. When Jesus promised to send the Spirit, he indicated that his work would be connected to words, specifically God’s Word. As a result, we need never wonder where we can find the Spirit. Join us for worship with a guest preacher this Sunday at 10 AM. WOMEN OF PEACE BIBLE STUDY – THURSDAY JUNE 16

What do the Ten Commandments do for you? Do they send you on a guilt trip? Are they a mirror of your frailties? Or do they hold life-changing love? The miracle of the Commandments is that even after thousands of years, they still hold everything we need to live in relationship with God and with one another. In this women’s Bible study, you will see yourself and how pride, insecurity, grudges, and coveting damage relationships. Each narrative also shows exactly why we still need Jesus and His perfect, Commandment-keeping love.

All Ladies of Peace are invited to an online Bible Study on Thursday, June 16 at 7:00 PM.

The teaching of the Trinity can seem very academic, even abstract. The fact that God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit may seem to have little relevance to the Christian’s daily life. Nothing could be further from the truth. Instead, as you read the Bible, God provides hints and glimpses of his Triune nature and how it is a blessing to us. God shows us how we benefit from the fact he exists as Trinity. God dwells in a “majesty and mystery” that far exceeds our understanding. But here is what we can understand. Every time we gather in the name of the Lord, our Triune God, we receive indescribable blessings. This is the God we worship and adore! Join us for Sunday service at 10 AM at Phi Delta Kappa Banquet hall in Odessa. Bible Study and Children’s Sunday School will be offered as well.
