CALLS RECEIVED
Sunday, January 23
This past Sunday I received a divine call to serve as associate pastor at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and School in Salt Lake City, UT. Bethany also received a call to teach 1st & 2nd grades at Prince of Peace Lutheran School in Salt Lake City. During these weeks we will talk with the leaders and members of Prince of Peace about ministry needs there. Bethany currently serves as kindergarten teacher at Northdale Lutheran in Tampa, FL. She will discuss her call with teachers and leaders at Northdale in Tampa. I will also discuss with you and the leaders of Peace the divine call I currently hold here at Peace Lutheran in Trinity and the ministry needs here.

We ask for your prayers that the Lord of the Church guide us with His wisdom as we consider these calls to Peace Lutheran and Prince of Peace Lutheran. Furthermore, we can be confident that all things will work for the good of God’s kingdom under the direction of our living Lord and Savior Jesus. Rejoice, thank and praise God for the partnership we share in the gospel with our brothers and sisters in Christ here and around the world.

YOU’RE INVITED – WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
February 8, 7:00 PM
Join the Women of Peace for Bible Study and then a brief meeting. This group serves the Savior through various service projects and supporting mission work.

Bible Study Topic: What do the Ten Commandments do for you? Do they send you on a guilt trip? Are they a mirror of your frailties? Or do they hold life-changing love? The miracle of the Commandments is that even after thousands of years, they still hold everything we need to live in relationship with God and with one another. In this women’s Bible study, you will see yourself and how pride, insecurity, grudges, and coveting damage relationships. Each narrative also shows exactly why we still need Jesus and His perfect, Commandment-keeping love.

All Ladies of Peace are invited to an online Bible Study on Tuesday, February 8 at 7:00 PM. A link will be sent out over email. You can also connect through Facebook and our website. If you would like to join, but would like more details, please contact Cindy Cochran (727) 236-7022.

January 28, 2022

There can be a temptation to alter the message we proclaim because of apparent success. If a church makes its central focus things like personal improvement, healing for the sick, or social justice, that church may draw a crowd. It just fails to carry out the agenda Christ has given his Church. We want to follow the agenda of Jesus. What is it? Come and learn this Sunday. We worship at the Phi Delta Kappa Hall located at 11311 Phi Delt Way, Odessa, 33556. Children’s Sunday School will follow worship as well as adult Bible study.

January 14, 2022

This Sunday and in the month ahead the particular focus of the God-lived life is that of being a disciple, a learner, one who grows in God’s Word. What’s your biggest motivation for spending time in God’s Word? What’s your biggest obstacle to spending time in God’s Word? What can help you overcome that obstacle? How can you build Bible study and prayer time into your regular routine? We will explore these questions this Sunday. We worship at the Phi Delta Kappa Hall located at 11311 Phi Delt Way, Odessa, 33556.

New Wednesday Afternoon Bible Study
Wednesdays at 1:30pm
God’s grace was powerfully at work in the Christian congregation at Corinth. It was a congregation that dealt with serious problems, but the gospel helped them through challenging times. The same gospel of God’s grace is at work in our lives as servants in God’s kingdom. Join us online this Wednesday afternoon as we continue a study in 2 Corinthians – The Good News & the Christian’s Personal Ministry.
