NEW WEEKDAY BIBLE STUDY OPPORTUNITY
Starting Wednesday, October 13  | 6:00 PM
Would you enjoy college-level theological courses taught locally? The Congregational Assistant Program (CAP) is under the guidance of Martin Luther College and Peace Lutheran is offering a new six-week course called: The Life of Luther.

All members of Peace are welcome to take the course even if you are not enrolled in the CAP program. If you would like to take this six-week class or learn more, speak with Pastor Schwartz.

The Life of Luther is six lessons. It covers the life, times, writings, and impact of the great Reformer, Martin Luther. Emphasis is given to how Luther’s teachings differed from those in the Roman Catholic church.  This class will mostly be taught online. The cost is $10 for a textbook and materials.

YOUTH CONFIRMATION CLASS BEGINS SUNDAY 
September 12 | 5:29 PM
Classes are scheduled to begin on Sunday, September 12, at 5:29 pm at the Longleaf Office. 6^th – 8^th Graders are invited to participate. In-Person classes go from 5:29 PM to 7:00 PM. The address is: 3030 Starkey Blvd (Suite 227), Trinity, 34655. The plan is to keep classes, whether in-person or online, on Sunday evenings. Please plan to block out this important time for your youth as they are equipped with a Living Faith.

BUILDING UPDATE
Progress Report
This month the footing and floor slab should be poured, which requires all under slab plumbing and electrical conduits to be installed. Plumbing has been installed, tested, and passed inspections. Electrical conduit should be installed the week of September 6th, weather permitting. Foundation and floor slab will be done the week of the 13^th, may be delayed for structural reinforcements. The building construction is on track for a March 4th turn over.

Worship This Sunday: The Christian’s opponent is real and he is ready to destroy our faith and the faith of everyone we love. It is time for Jesus’ disciples to get the game plan, get to our positions and confidently break the huddle trusting in God’s power and God’s blessing. This Sunday we learn why we can worship and praise God at all times. The heart of worship is not in the act of attending worship, but it has to do with the heart and where the heart is focused. When our focus in worship is in the right place we will find worship edifying. Join us for worship on Sunday! Worship This Sunday: Football is not about eleven players standing in a circle and talking. The excitement starts when the team breaks from the huddle, gets to their positions, faces the opposition, and executes a play. We are all in the very real game of life. The outcome is eternally significant. Our opponent is real and he is ready to destroy our faith and the faith of everyone we love. Now is not the time for the Church, you and me, to sit back and hope for the best. It is time for Jesus’ disciples to get the game plan, get to our positions and confidently break the huddle trusting in God’s power and God’s blessing.
