BUILDING PROJECT UPDATE – 4/22/21
Last weekend the voters of the congregation approved an increase of our construction loan through the Church Extension Fund (CEF). The vote increased our loan $129,000. The voters also approved using up to $40,000 from our operating budget to cover the shortfall that still remained. This is all due to recent building cost increases.
On Thursday, April 22, CEF Loan Committee approved our request to increase our loan from $1,410,000 to $1,539,000. We will keep you up to date as to permitting progress and when, God-willing, construction will begin.

CARING & CALLING
The church prays for one another and seeks to aid others, especially those in the family believers (Galatians 6:10). You can always send prayer requests to Linda Vandergriff. If you would like to provide more than prayers or cards for someone in need, maybe a meal, or help with transportation, etc., you can also contact Linda Vandergriff and she will help to coordinate. Her email is: vandys5@msn.com. Call or text Linda at: 727.452.1077.

CALL RECEIVED to SAINT LOUIS PARK, MN
What joy is ours to be united in the fellowship of the gospel which is at work among us, and believers around the world. I have received a call to serve as pastor to the believers of Timothy Lutheran Church in St. Louis Park, MN.

I ask for your prayers and your guidance as I consider where I might best serve our Savior Jesus, his church, and the those who do not know the gospel. I will be talking with the leaders and members of Timothy Lutheran to learn more about gospel ministry in their community. I will also discuss the call and ministry of Peace Lutheran in Trinity, FL with the leaders and members of Peace.

God has placed these two opportunities before me. I am comforted to know that there is not a right or a wrong decision in considering these two ministry opportunities. God will bless his kingdom through these deliberations and the resulting decision that is made.

In His Service,
Pastor Schwartz

LEADING US BACK TO GOD’S ARMS
Wednesdays in April & May | 6:30 PM
This Wednesday: Christ, My Good Shepherd (Psalm 23), Christ my Light and Salvation (Psalm 27). It is easy to identify with the range of emotions covered in the psalms: frustration and worry, thanksgiving and worship, begging for help or crying out for forgiveness, wondering at God’s Word and His wisdom, anger at God’s enemies, or sheer, jubilant praise. The Psalms lead us from our human experiences and struggles to God’s arms. Our study over the next two months will focus on psalms that reflect this wide range of emotions. Join us online each Wednesday evening in April and May. We meet from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM online.

“LOVE RULES” – a WOMEN OF PEACE BIBLE STUDY
April 13 | 7:00 PM
What do the Ten Commandments do for you? Do they send you on a guilt trip? Are they a mirror of your frailties? Or do they hold life-changing love? The miracle of the Commandments is that even after thousands of years, they still hold everything we need to live in relationship with God and with one another. In this women’s Bible study, you will see yourself and how pride, insecurity, grudges, and coveting damage relationships. Each narrative also shows exactly why we still need Jesus and His perfect, Commandment-keeping love.
All Ladies of Peace are invited to an online Bible Study on Tuesday, April 13 at 7:00 PM. A link will be sent out over email. You can also connect through Facebook and our website. If you would like to join, but would like more details, please contact Cindy Cochran (727) 236-7022.
