7.17.2020

This Sunday: Jesus discusses age-old questions like this, “If God is good, why is there is so much evil in the world?” Join us as Jesus gives us words of comfort and encouragement in his Word. Services are in-person or online at 9:00 AM & 10:15 AM. Services are held at the Trinity Meeting Center: 7813 Mitchell Blvd, New Port Richey, FL 34655. Face Coverings are required (with the exception of ages two and under) at the 9:00 AM & 10:15 AM Services.

Annual Voters Meeting: The Annual Voters Meeting is an important meeting as we set a direction for the 2020-2021 year ahead. The meeting is scheduled for 9:45 AM in between services on Sunday, July 19. Members can attend online or in-person at the Trinity Meeting Center. The zoom link to join in the meeting online is:

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88340413155?pwd=SWlBalJCMGF1ZVYySlVYU2VsWEIwUT09

If you are not able to attend in-person, you can join via zoom video or call in by dialing: +1 312 626 6799 or +1 646 558 8656. The Meeting ID is: 883 4041 3155. The Password is: 731980

Voters of the congregation will be able to vote either in-person or by letting us know of their attendance and/or vote via video or phone.

This meeting format will be new to the leadership and the congregation. Thanks in advance for your participation and patience with any tech challenges.

Our current guidelines for gathering are still in place for public worship:

  • Hand sanitizing stations will be provided
  • Current Pasco County Guidelines require face coverings during worship. Masks are available at worship if you do not have a mask.
  • Our worship team will help to arrange seating to promote social distancing.
  • Communion and dismissal patterns will be modified to maintain physical distancing as much as possible.
  • By offering two services we have been able to maintain physical distancing.
  • We ask that those who are sick, high risk, or have been exposed to COVID-19 within the last 14 days not gather for worship at this time. Online services will continue to be made available.
  • Offering plates and guest registers will not be passed. You can place your offering in the basket provided on your way in or out of worship. We encourage setting up giving online or by text.

Children’s Sunday School:

  • Children’s Sunday School lessons will continue to be provided for children and parents before and after services.

Wednesday’s Cross Connections Bible Study: Join us on Wednesdays during July and August as we study the age-old questions “Where is God?” and “Why is He letting this happen to me?” The book of Job focuses on tenacious faith, especially in the midst of severe suffering and false accusations. Job is a strong believer, put to a severe test when he loses his wealth and children in one day. The next day he loses his health. His three friends come to comfort him but end up trying to solve the riddle of God’s place in human suffering. Through it all Job learns an important lesson for all Christians: Patience and Endurance as we cling to our Redeemer.

You can join the Bible Study at 1:30 PM or 7:00 PM by following the links below.

A memorial service will be held at Prevatt Funeral Home on Monday, June 29, at 11:00 AM. The address is: 7709 State Road 52, Hudson, FL 34667. We are working to arrange for live-streaming the service. Face coverings are required for those in attendance.

Youth Confirmation – Between Services: This Sunday, June 28, Josh Hindman, Mia Powell, and Ryan Pryce will profess their faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior, the faith given them by the Holy Spirit. This will be a special abbreviated service for immediate family of the confirmands in between the Sunday services. We rejoice with Ryan, Mia, and Josh as they confess their faith in Christ Jesus. Join with me in praying that they, with all of us, are strengthened in their faith and continue to stay close to Jesus their whole life through.

Join us live! Taste and See will feature many live events that will be shared on the WELS Missions and LWMS Facebook pages and via Livestream. Join us for opening worship and the LWMS flag presentation this Saturday, June 27, beginning at 11 a.m. Central.
