News & Announcements

March 3, 2023

The Need for Salvation is Universal
When Jesus said, “No one can enter the kingdom of God,” he declared that the need for salvation is universal. He rightly condemned humanity as a whole. There is no one on the face of the earth who can make the case that they deserve God’s blessing. It’s definitely not about us. Yet, ages ago, God declared that all nations would be blessed. God has declared his love for the world and promised he would save the world. The gift of salvation is meant for the world; however, it is received by faith. “Whoever believes in him…” the Gospel says. However, the good news is that faith is also God’s gift, imparted through that gospel. Salvation is not about us. It’s all about Christ.

Pastoral Care & Counseling
If you need pastoral care or counseling, you can call or text Pastor Steve Sauer 920-737-5127.

If you would like a visit for spiritual care, don’t hesitate to contact Brad Mattes, our head elder.

Communion Sign Up
Before the worship service, we are asking our members to announce their desire to receive the Lord’s Supper on the sign-up sheet located in the entry to the sanctuary.

This will help us keep our records updated and also help with our annual reports to the Synod. If you don’t get the chance to sign the sheet before worship, please do so after the service has ended.

Grounds Cleanup Day
We have a Church Grounds Cleanup Day this Saturday the 4th at 10:00. If you have some time bring some work gloves and any yard tools to help keep your Church beautiful

Please join us for Weekday Bible Study
Bible Study throughout this Lenten Season will be held on Thursday evening, at 6:00 PM. We will have fellowship, food and fun as we review the previous Sunday’s sermon. Children are welcome, bring your appetite for food, insight, and knowledge. Please contact Bill Longhenry and watch the announcement throughout the month information.

The daily devotional Meditations are going fast
Have you experienced the power of a daily encounter with God? We believe so strongly in your personal relationship with God that we provide a free daily devotional to encourage you to meditate on God’s Word and message for your life. Discover the Scripture-based, soul-searching studies that will inspire you to trust in God and live out the Gospel. Each meditation is clearly written and easy to understand, with a special Scripture reading, devotion, and prayer for each day. Pick up yours on Sunday.

Our 2023 Offering Envelopes Are Here
Please look for your family’s box in the Narthex. If you can’t find yours, please see Linda Syrylo.

It is our privilege to tell, like the shepherds, the good news that a Savior has been born for all people. We tell the good news as individuals, and we tell the good news by sending representatives (pastors and teachers) by giving of our offerings.

The Bible says, “Each person should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not out of grief nor out of compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7-8)..

Peace Lutheran offers a secure Give by Text option. To donate via text, send the dollar amount you wish to give, including a dollar sign, to 888-314-2975. Example: $50. You will receive a secure registration link. Another secure option for giving is at our website. Go to peacelutherantrinity.com, look for the Donate to Peace link at the bottom of the home page.

February 24, 2023

The Son of God goes forth to war and defeats the devil for us.
The ancient foe (Satan) warred on mankind in the garden, but God promised to send a champion to battle on our behalf. The Second Adam (Jesus) came to do what the first could not, and in the desert the battle was joined. But for us fights the valiant one whom God himself elected…he holds the field forever.

Jesus appears in glory as the Son of God
The Epiphany season is bookended by the voice of God the Father proclaiming Jesus his Son. Before he suffered as man’s substitute, Jesus gave his Church a glimpse of the glory that he set aside to be our Savior. See how much he loves us! The God of Mt. Sinai, the Majestic Glory, became a man to suffer and die for us, just as Moses and the Prophets had foretold. It’s good that we are here.

The Holy Life:
Live a holy life! Jesus came to free us from sin. He did not come to free us to sin. The commands in the lessons today remind us just how holy our God is, and their dire warnings remind us just how holy he wants us to be. After examining our lives, we must despair, but the Verse of the Day reminds us to flee to Christ who has the words of life. Then the Prayer of the Day asks that we might be given the grace to both know and do what pleases him.

Let your light shine! Jesus tells us: You are…so be. You are the light of the world, so be light for the earth. You are the salt of the earth, so be salt for it. Our calling as sons of God means our lives will reflect our new status, and the world around us will be blessed by us.
