Receiving a divine call is always an opportunity to evaluate where a pastor or teacher might be best be suited to use their talents and abilities to the glory of God in His kingdom work. There is no “right” or “wrong” decision. We trust that God will bless his kingdom through the decisions that are made. I am grateful for the call that was extended to me to serve as pastor of Timothy Lutheran. I was encouraged to hear of their eagerness to continue proclaiming and teaching the gospel in their community. At the same time, we at Peace Lutheran are embarking on a building project in the next months that will give us a new place to worship and give us a place from which we can carry out ministry to our community. I pray for unity in Christ and his glorious gospel message as we worship and work together with the goal of building a Christ-centered church community, strengthening those in the faith and reaching out to those who do not have faith in Jesus as their Savior.
After taking time for prayer and discussion with fellow believers in Saint Louis Park and Trinity, FL, I am returning the call. I am looking forward to continuing to serve the Savior alongside you. I trust the Lord of the church will provide a shepherd for the saints of Timothy Lutheran in his good time. As you have kept me in your prayers, I will continue to keep you in my prayers.
In Christ,
Pastor Joel Schwartz
