What comforts believers when faced with death?
Maybe it’s the death of a loved one. Maybe it’s your own impending death. Our comfort comes from a God-given security deep in our souls. One day Jesus will give your faithful dead back to you—to love and to laugh and to hug and to dance. Body and soul, living and walking in the new heaven and the new earth. He’ll do the same for you! The Son of God descended into the darkness of death himself and emerged on Easter Sunday as the first fruit of the resurrection of all God’s people. In the creed we confess, “I believe in the resurrection of the body.” That’s a Christian’s eternal security, guaranteed by God!
Easter Lilies
We are planning to decorate the sanctuary with lilies on Easter Sunday. A sign-up sheet with details is available at church for those who wish to donate $10 per plant will be able to take it home after the Easter service. The last day to sign up will be Palm Sunday, April 2nd
CHURCH WORK DAY – THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 25
Please join us on Saturday, March 25th for a work day at Peace Lutheran Church. All are welcome. We will start at 9:00 am and should be done by noon. Our focus will be on the grounds around the Church, weeding, landscape maintenance, etc. Some may assist inside the church with cleaning as we prepare for Easter services. Feel free to bring your gloves and gardening tools.
Receiving Communion Roster
Before the worship service, we are asking our members to announce their desire to receive the Lord’s Supper on the sign-up sheet located in the entry to the sanctuary.
This will help us keep our records updated and also help with our annual reports to the Synod. If you don’t get the chance to sign the sheet before worship, please do so after the service has ended.

We believe so strongly in your personal relationship with God that we provide a free daily devotional to encourage you to meditate on God’s Word and message for your life.
