November 6, 2020

11.6.2020

This Sunday: Every Sunday we confess, “He will come to judge the living and the dead.” But do we live as though that confession is not going to take place? This Sunday the Church prays that God keep us mindful of judgement and we pray that we produce fruits of faith. Connected in faith to Jesus we have no need to fear Judgement Day, instead we look forward to the day of our redemption. Join us for worship! Children’s Sunday School and Adult Bible Study will follow.

We have returned to in-person worship at Trinity Elementary School: 2209 Duck Slough Blvd, Trinity, 34655. Join us for worship at 10:00 AM. Bible Study and Children’s Sunday School will follow worship.

On Sunday morning you can find a pre-recorded service here.

On Sunday morning you can worship with us on Facebook Live.

Reminder: Face Coverings are required during worship (with the exception of ages two and under).

Our current guidelines for gathering are still in place for public worship:

  • Current Pasco County Guidelines require face coverings during worship. Masks are available at worship if you do not have a mask.
  • Our worship team will help to arrange seating to promote social distancing. The Cafetorium at Trinity Elementary School allows for plenty of space to social distance.
  • We ask that those who are sick, high risk, or have been exposed to COVID-19 within the last 14 days not gather for worship at this time. Online services will continue to be made available.
  • Offering plates and guest registers will not be passed. You can place your offering in the basket provided on your way in or out of worship. We encourage setting up giving online or by text.

INVITING NEW MOVERS – Saturday, November 14, 9:30 am
Each month there are around 150 news family units who are moving into the Trinity area. We would like to welcome them and invite them to find a church home with us. Consider joining a team that will go out once or twice each month to welcome new movers to the area. Commitment would include 2-3 hours a month and around 10-20 visits each month, simply dropping off a pre-packaged gift baggie with our church information. You can make visits in pairs. Learn more at a brief training on Saturday, November 14, 9:30 am @ Longleaf Office, 3030 Starkey Blvd., Trinity, 34655. Sign up at our website: https://peacelutherantrinity.com/new-mover-training-sign-up/ . You can also go to our website and look for “Upcoming Events.”

WOMEN OF PEACE BIBLE STUDY – November 17 | 7:00 PM
All Ladies of Peace are invited to an online Bible Study on Tuesday, November 17 at 7:00 PM. Note that this month’s meeting is pushed back one week, to the third Tuesday of the month, November 17. A link will be sent out over email. You can also connect through Facebook and our website. If you would like to join but would like more details, please contact Cindy Cochran (727) 236-7022.

BUILDING PROJECT UPDATE – October 30, 2020
Greetings everyone, I pray all is well with you. Last week we informed you on the progress of our loan request and that we are currently facing a gap of $197,000 and any chance of closing this through grants of subsidies would be postponed to spring. This delay would also bring a risk of Pasco County requiring us to resubmit our Site Permit application which effectively would add another 5-6 months to our building process. Also waiting until spring to proceed will require us to obtain new pricing on the building, which could end up being better or worse. We reviewed this information with PRA, our Architect, and have submitted the building plans to two contractors, Schaefer Company and KB3-Group. Both of these companies have been actively pursuing opportunities to work with PRA. Pricing is due back from both firms on 11/13. If the pricing comes back favorable, we would begin work in January on our new church home. As always, pray for God’s blessings on our project.

In Christ,
Lloyd Cochran

Thank You: A heartfelt “Thank you” to all who contributed toward the Pastor Appreciation gift I received last weekend. It was a surprise and a very kind gesture. I thank God for the opportunity to serve as Pastor. It is only by the grace of God. I look forward to continuing to proclaim the Word of God and his life-saving message.

To God be the Glory,
Pastor Schwartz
