Worship This Sunday: Break out of the huddle … with the right priorities.  We live in a world where we just got to have the things that aren’t really going to last. Often, the things that will truly impact and change the world we don’t have time for. Break out of the huddle and listen to Jesus as he teaches us to make decisions and choices that are in line with the right priority. We worship at 10:00 AM at the Phi Delta Kappa Banquet Hall located at 11311 Phi Delt Way, Odessa, 33556. Children’s Sunday School is offered after worship on Sunday!

Thank Offerings: The Bible says, “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops.” –Proverbs 3:9.  God wants us to give of our first and the best of the resources he provides for us.

Stewardship Challenge: What does a God-lived life look like? It looks like Jesus. God became man and lived life in our place. Christ lived the perfect God-lived life. Living as a Christian, a little Christ, we have the privilege of demonstrating what God looks like in how we live our lives, in living lives that show God. NEXT WEEK we will begin a special stewardship challenge. God’s Word will be challenging us, and we’ll be challenging one another to live a God-lived life. And that encompasses everything. We will be talking about a life of being a disciple, a life lived for others, a life of hospitality, and a life lived shrewdly. Join us as we challenge ourselves to put God’s Word  into practice

NEW WEEKDAY BIBLE STUDY OPPORTUNITY
Starting Wednesday, October 13  | 6:00 PM
Would you enjoy college-level theological courses taught locally? The Congregational Assistant Program (CAP) is under the guidance of Martin Luther College and Peace Lutheran is offering a new six-week course called: The Life of Luther.

All members of Peace are welcome to take the course even if you are not enrolled in the CAP program. If you would like to take this six-week class or learn more, speak with Pastor Schwartz.

The Life of Luther is six lessons. It covers the life, times, writings, and impact of the great Reformer, Martin Luther. Emphasis is given to how Luther’s teachings differed from those in the Roman Catholic church.  This class will mostly be taught online. The cost is $10 for a textbook and materials.
